I know they're out of order, but that's just how it's happening so far. I thought I'd get some more feedback on the process :D

This is from the end scene:

"Amarantha took the hand of her skeleton friend, and the pair of them lived peacefully beside the cemetery. Amarantha never regained her desire to set foot in the town, and no one came looking for the headless girl."

Amarantha, Archibald and associated characters, images, and text belong to me.

Unlike "The Green Ribbon" this story looks like it has a happy ending! Wonderful! :D

I really like the style you draw with. I like the way the ribbon looks. You should do some work for the books "A Series of Unfortunate Events".

Did you ever read "The Green Ribbon" by Alvin Schwartz? I was wondering if that was an inspiration for Amarantha's red ribbon.

Yes indeed! That was the (quite loose) basis for this story! I've always loved that idea, ever since I was little, so now I'm trying to bring it back to life :)

In a Dark Dark Room was my absolute favorite book as a kid. I even have pictures of myself with a green ribbon around my neck lol. It's nice to know there are others out there with the same appreciation for that book!
