There's usually one thing in the composition that has to be a certain color. In this one, it's her golden apples. So I figure that green and blue and red go with gold really well... I chose green because I wanted to keep her in an earthy environment. I would've chosen crimson for a warmer, homier tone, and blue for something either softer or maybe more regal.
