More for my fairytale series. In the original story, Rapunzel not only lets a strange man climb her hair into her bedroom, but he impregnates her. Thus the ensuing chaos with the wicked old witch and the prince getting is eyes gauged out or something horrific like that. It's a pretty nasty story. Yay fairytales!
